Terk HDTVI HDTV Indoor Antenna Review
People are scrambling to find the best HDTV antenna to buy. We tried out several antenna’s but non were like the Terk HDTV antenna.
The Terk looks strange but it’s shape is not that different than out-door antennas. The old rabbit ear antenna days are over and it’s time for the strange looking spaceship like antenna to take the lead.
We tested other antenna’s such as the RCA ANT1500 which is a Large Multi-Directional Indoor Flat Digital Antenna but it couldn’t match the Terk.
So how did we decide which antenna was the best? We ran a test of how many channels the Terk could get, how well it received the signal and if the signal continued to stay strong.
- The Terk got 32 channels
- Had the best signal with continued signal strength
- The RCA ANT1500 received 27 channels
- Had medium signal strength and would go up and down on reception
- The RCA ANT1400 received 25 channels and could get more but with a lot of tinkering
- Had medium to low signal strength and would also go in and out
We also tested other HDTV antennas but had worse results and I didn’t see a point in even mentioning the other antennas. The verdirect is that the Terk is the best indoor antenna you can buy. At least for where we live.
Why should you buy the Terk? because it’s the best out there for the money. You can get the Terk at Tigerdirect for pretty cheap. If you go to best buy you will spend $79.99 or more but we found it at TigerDirect for $24.99.
